Today we took Quiz #7 of our class novel and discussed the reading. Then we began drafting our poem. 11 Honors drafted the Slam Poem and 11 English drafted the SIngle Story Poem.
Today we took Quiz #6 in class and discussed the reading. Then we finished the ACT registration packet in preparation for the ACT on March 3. If you missed the quiz, you'll need to come in during flex or before or after school to take the quiz. If you missed the ACT packet, you'll need to get yours from the counseling office and fill it out.
Today we took Quiz #5 of our whole class novel and then filled out the ACT Registration Packet in preparation for taking the ACT. If you were gone, you'll need to get the packet from the counseling office and have it filled out before March 3 when we take the ACT.
Today we took Quiz #4 and planned out and outlined our Single Story poem and our Slam Poems. We turned in that handout and, if you haven't already gotten one, get one from the manila folders near the door.
Today we took Quiz #3 of our class novel and then went to the play "EVery Brilliant THing" being put on by an acting troupe from SUU. Enjoy!
Today we took Quiz #2 and discussed the final poem for the term; we also proposed two ideas for the poem for our writer's notebook and turned in our proposals.
Today we started reading All the Light We Cannot See in 11th Honors and The Book Thief in English 11 and took the first reading quiz. We also finished the anticipation guide for both stories. You'll need to come in and take the quiz that you missed during flex or before or after school.
Today we got our whole class novels for 3rd Term and proposed ideas for our poems and turned those ideas in on a separate sheet of paper as a writer's notebook. English 11 Honors attempted writing the first stanza of their Slam Poems. English 11 proposed their best idea for their single story poem. Halfway through class, we started the anticipation guide and began discussing in tales our ideas.
