Hi everybody. Welcome to my class website. My name is Mr. Gagnier (You can call me Mr. G) and I'll be here all week..err...year. I was born in Utah and grew up on the west side of Salt Lake City but graduated from Cottonwood High School (Go Colts!). I have taught at Lehi High School for 13 years now (Go Lehi!) and recently came back to Lehi from upstate New York a couple of years ago where I was working at Syracuse University. I really liked New York, despite the cold, and would recommend it to anybody.
I love teaching high school (it's why I came back) and, especially, English. I always have good book recommendations if you need one. I love Star Wars and have been trying to read all of the Star Wars canon novels that Disney has published since they purchased the franchise. I am a huge sports fan both college football and professional basketball. I grew up watching the Utah Jazz (Go Jazz!) and BYU football and basketball (Go Cougars!) so I'm a huge fan, but I can talk Utes, Aggies, NFL, MLB, Champions League Soccer, RSL, Olympics, volleyball, etc. with anybody. My best friend growing up was a huge sports fan and basically forced me to become a fan (and I'm glad that he did) because all we ever did was talk BYU and the Jazz. I'm a Spartan Beast. I have finished the Spartan Race, a grueling 13-mile, 30 obstacle race, three times now. It's so much fun.
Anyways, I live in Eagle Mountain right now with my wife and five kids. We're crazy and loud. Eagle Mountain is great and we love it there. My son is going into 11th grade this year and he already talks trash with me about Lehi and Westlake. It's fun. I'm so excited to meet and get to know each of you. It's going to be a great year.
