Day 27: Red Rising Quiz #7, comic book and graphic novel literature, and final Project discussion (March 27)

Today we took Quiz #7 and discussed the reading for Red Rising.  We discussed comic books and graphic novels, and I presented the final project to the class.  I also passed back the writer's notebooks from last time, which were brainstormed ideas for the final rpoject.

Today we took Quiz #6 for Red Rising and discussed Time Travel and Cyberpunk Science Fiction.  We also brainstormed ideas for our final project in our writer's notebook.  The writers notebook asked, "What are your favorite moments in Red Rising?  What are most movie-worthy?

day 26: Red Rising QUiz #5, 90s science fiction, and the osgiliath writing assignment (March 22)

Today we took Quiz #5 of Red Rising and discussed the reading.  We also talked about 90s Science Fiction and then I gave the class the rest of the time to finish their Osgiliath Writing Assignment.

Today we took our fourth quiz for Red Rising and discussed the reading.  We discussed 70s and 80s science fiction and then wrote our Osgiliath Writing Assignment.  Can't wait to read them!  

day 24: Red Rising Quiz #3, The golden age of science fiction literature, and What does it mean to be human (March 14)

Today we took Quiz #3 for Red Rising and discussed the reading.  We also discussed the Golden Age of Science Fiction and finished watching the TED Talk "What does it mean to be human?"  We turned in a response (Writer's Notebook #1) at the end of class.  

day 23: Red Rising Quiz #1, the greatest speech ever discussion, and the origins of science fiction (March 12)

Today we took Quiz #1 for Red Rising and watched "The Greatest Speech Ever" by Charlie Chaplin and discussed its application to the story.  We then discussed the origins of science fiction and looked at getting tickets for Captain Marvel.  

day 22: finish lit circle presentations and red rising (March 8)

Today we checked in our lit circle books and checked out Red Rising.  We also did the last of our lit circle presentations.  

day 20 and 21: Literature Circle presentations (March 1, 5, 6, and 7)

The term ended this week.  We turned in our notes and did our final literature circlet presentations.  See you 4th Term!
