The Aptitude Test

1/24/2013

Picture
In the beginning of Divergent, Tris (Beatrice Prior) takes the aptitude test after she's turned 16.  The results of the test will determine who she is for the rest of her life.  On my home page to this blog is a button-link to the aptitude test.  Take the aptitude test so that you can know where you fit in the Divergent world.  Then, post a paragraph about your results, as well as why or why you don't think that the aptitude test is correct, based off of you and what you like to do and how you are as a person.  Have fun.

Below is a copy and paste link to the test, too.  Just in case.  :)

NOTE: If you finish early, spice up your blog and finish responding to everybody else's posts from Tuesday.

The purpose of today is to see each other's blogs and comment on each other and get to know each other better.  It still feels like I don't know you very well.  Talk more about you.  Give us more information so that we can get to know you better.  So...

Paragraph #1: More information about you.

Paragraph #2: Discuss what you want to get out of this class and what you feel you can contribute.

Afterward, read everybody else's blogs.  Comment on their blog posts.  Look forward to hearing what you have to say.  Improve your blog after you are done.

Here's the picture, Jessie.  :)

Welcome to Pop Fiction.  Hope you have a great time!  Go ahead and introduce yourself and tell us all about you.  Below is the breakdown:

Paragraph #1: Introduce yourself.  Tell us about who you are, where you came from, and what you like to do for your hobbies.  Talk about your favorite restaurant, your favorite season of the year, and your favorite holiday.  Talk about your family.  Talk about school.  Whatever you'd like.

Paragraph #2: Talk about this class.  Why are you taking this class?  How big of a reader are you?  How many books you've read recently and the type of books you'd like to read.  Talk about what you've heard about pop fiction, etc.

So excited for you to be in this class.  Hope you have a great time.

In the end

Write your final thoughts here about popular fiction.  Write as much as possible and be as detailed as possible.  Comment on other people's pages.  Once your are finished, feel free to work on things you are missing in class or our "Lord of the Fries" chapter.

(As a final note, I would like to tell you how fun and enlightening it has been to teach each of you.  There were some days where I thought that you would strangle each other, but I can't tell you how impressed I have been with you.  This class will definitely be one I will remember fondly for as long as I teach and perhaps longer.  Thank you to each of you.  You've prolonged my teaching life-force for another decade, giving me hope that there are students worth teaching out there.  Mr. Gagnier)
