Today we took Quiz 5 for The Fault in our Stars and discussed the chapter. Then, we read Emily DIckinson's "A Certain Slant of Light," which was John Green's inspiration for the creation of the story "An Imperial Affliction" and discussed the poem in groups. Next time, we'll share our answers so be prepared to discuss.

Today we took Quiz 4 and wrote our summaries of An Imperial Affliction and The Price of Dawn in the writing lab. We stapled a rubric to the typed summary, as well as Writer's Notebook #24, which was the analysis of the pages that were on the rubric to prepare you to write the summaries.
Fault in our STars Quiz 3 and AIA and The Price of Dawn SUmmary Assignment (December 7 and 8)12/7/2016 Today we took Quiz #3 and brainstormed ideas for our summary assignments next class period. I explained the assignment we will do in the computer lab and we prepped to write those summaries.
Today we took Quiz #2 and did Writer's Notebook #22. We discussed the chapter and then wrote our reflection for the 30 day challenge. The first paragraph is a summary of what you did every day for 30 days and the second paragraph is what you learned from it.
Today we took quiz 1 for The Fault in our Stars and discussed the novels title for our Writer's Notebook #21. We did not have a DOL today.
Today we did our Term 2 Book Review and checked out the class novel,The Fault in our Stars. I passed out bookmarks and informed the class that they have a quiz next class period. If you didn't finish your book review in class, you have until Friday, December 9th to do it during flex.
